Kevin Hosseini is the founder and head professor of Ramona MMA Center, the first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA academy established in Ramona. Since opening the doors in 2010, he has remained on the mat daily, leading the development of a program that has trained hundreds of local families.
He began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 1998 at the age of twelve, during a time when the art was still in its early growth in the United States. He earned his black belt in 2008 under Master Fabio Santos at just 22 years old, following a traditional path built on consistency, discipline, and years of daily training.
Professor Kevin has earned multiple IBJJF titles at the black belt level, and his students have continued that success with IBJJF titles and world championships under his coaching. Many of his students have progressed from white belt to black belt under his guidance, reflecting the long-term structure of the program he has built.
Beyond competition, Professor Kevin is known for building a complete training system that develops students over time. His academy has grown into a multigenerational community, where students who started as kids are now bringing their own children to train.
As both owner and head instructor, Professor Kevin continues to teach, mentor, and oversee the daily operation of the academy. Alongside his wife and co-owner Whitney Hosseini, he has built a program centered on real training, long-term development, and a standard that reflects the roots of Jiu-Jitsu.
