Why Julian Residents Train at Ramona MMA Center

The reason students from Julian make the trip is simple: depth. Ramona MMA Center has been training students for over two decades under Professor Kevin Hosseini, a 4th-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt in the Rickson Gracie lineage. The program runs every weekday with multiple class options for adults, kids, and teens, plus dedicated women’s and 40 & Up classes.

The drive itself is direct. Highway 78 runs from Julian to Ramona without a detour, passing through Santa Ysabel and Wynola along the way. For students who plan their week around evening classes, the trip becomes routine — and many Julian residents carpool with neighbors who also train.
