Alex Carrisoza is a founding-generation member of Ramona MMA Center, having trained at the academy since 2011 alongside the original core team. He is now a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt developed entirely within the program.
Alex holds instructor certifications in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, self-defense, and submission grappling. In addition to his grappling background, he has trained extensively in Muay Thai kickboxing under Kru Doug Dickey, giving him a well-rounded understanding of both striking and grappling.
At the academy, Alex leads early morning classes and works closely with beginner and fundamental students. His coaching style is patient, clear, and focused on building strong fundamentals, making him a key instructor for students starting their training.
